How we work

Perspective without a prescribed conclusion.

Out the Dome Media uses characters, visual storytelling, and careful sourcing to make disagreements easier to understand without telling the audience which political choice to make.

Editorial principles

Separate fact from viewpointCurrent factual claims should be sourced. Character opinions remain opinions.
Use the strongest real argumentsWe do not create a weak version of a perspective just to defeat it.
Leave room for complexitySome issues have more than two meaningful perspectives.

Political and civic topics

Readers make the decision.

We do not use The Viewed to endorse or oppose candidates, parties, legislation, ballot choices, or political outcomes. Our job is to establish context, distinguish evidence from interpretation, surface meaningful tradeoffs, and end with a question worth discussing.

Corrections

Facts can be corrected without erasing the record.

When a factual mistake is identified, the correction should be made clearly and the material change documented. Satire and character dialogue should never be used to disguise a factual assertion that cannot be supported.

Commercial independence

A sponsor cannot buy the conclusion.

Advertising, affiliate relationships, and sponsorships must be disclosed and kept separate from the editorial outcome of The Viewed.
